KBRN, Jakarta: The Indonesian women's national team is currently ranked 95th in the latest FIFA ranking update released on Thursday, June 12, 2025. In the most recent FIFA release, Garuda Pertiwi (nickname of Indonesian women's national team) dropped to 95th in the world with 1211.38 points.

Although the Indonesian women's national team did manage to add points, other competing teams gained more. The additional points for the Indonesian women's national team came from a 1-1 draw against Jordan and a goalless draw against Bangladesh in late May and early June.

This is certainly an unexpected outcome, especially after having risen several times in the FIFA rankings previously. In Asia, Indonesia remains far behind, sitting at rank 17, while in Southeast Asia, they are still behind Vietnam (FIFA rank 37), the Philippines (rank 41), Thailand (rank 46), and Myanmar (rank 55 globally).

Meanwhile, in the latest FIFA release, there were no changes in the top four positions, led by the United States with 2057.19 points, followed by Spain with 2034.34 points, and Germany with 2030.88 points, while Brazil climbed to fourth position with 2004.31 points.

England, on the other hand, dropped to fifth place with 1999.78 points, followed by Sweden (1989.21), Japan (1982.51), Canada (1974.76), North Korea (1944.23), and France (1941.61).***
