Activists from the Benteng Demokrasi Rakyat [Bendera -- Indonesia Democracy Fortress] Ferdi Semaun and Mustar Bonaventura insist to defy Jakarta Police second summon for questioning over a defamation allegation.  We will never answer their [police] summon, which is full of intervention from powerful people,” Ferdi said on Monday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.  The police initially summoned Ferdi and Mustar to come to their office on Thursday. Due to their failure to meet it, the police sent the second summoning letter for Monday’s schedule.

The police will surely make the third summon, a forced one. We are ready for that,” said Ferdi. A number of government officials, including Coordinating Minister for the Economy Hatta Rajasa and Coordinating Minister for Politics, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, reported the two activists to the police for accusing them of receiving Bank Century bailout money. Politician Rizal Mallarangeng and President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's son, Edhie Baskoro, also reported the activists for the same allegation. rri.co.id/dodo
